Restaurants worth the drive are Jaras and hom at the InterContinental, Bella Vista for wood-fired pizza on the sand, and Nanork Seafood directly on the water. North towards Cherngtalay—fifteen minutes by car—sit Porto de Phuket and Boat Avenue for the weekly farmers market and bigger supermarkets. Phuket FantaSea and Carnival Magic sit at the northern end of the beach, and the Tsunami Memorial Park with its 'Heart of the Universe' sphere marks the seafront.
