The district itself is where you live: the fresh market near Chalong Circle for the morning, Villa Market for Western groceries, Robinson Lifestyle with its cinema and three hundred brands. Kan Eang at the pier serves the best seafood in the district, tables out over the water. Big Buddha sits on the hills directly above you, free to enter. Berda Claude International School is here in Chalong; other campuses are a short drive north. You will need your own transport—the evenings are quiet and the nightlife is elsewhere—but the trade-off is space and a large fitness and Muay Thai community that trains here daily.
